Retail investing has seen a boom since the beginning of the pandemic, with the crisis accelerating the trend in using digital channels to manage money.

Although the focus has mostly been on younger investors lured into the markets by financial influences on social media, or 'finfluencers', Generation X — those born between the early 1960s and late 1970s — are as keen to use digital channels to grow their investments as Millennials, a survey from funds network Calastone has found.
