FN Profile: Robin Ellison - New pensions chief pleads for simplicity

The NAPF's combative chairman-elect wants to throw out the industry's rule book and whittle 8,500 pages down to 20

Robin Ellison, chairman-elect of the National Association of Pension Funds, is convinced that prospects for his beleaguered industry are on the turn.

"The UK government seems to be accepting that the state pension is inadequate, and that private provision is in meltdown. For the first time I can recall, politicians are accepting that pensions are an issue of great importance to them."
