Greater transparency of fund performance data will be a powerful mechanism for attracting new investors to the asset class, believes AFIC, the French private equity and venture capital association.

Xavier Moreno, the president of AFIC, told delegates at the association's annual conference last week that providing more information on the performance of private equity funds would result in a higher level of commitment from institutional investors.
