Freshfields’ profit fell last year despite revenue passing £2bn for the first time.

The Magic Circle law firm’s accounts showed profit available for distribution to the firm’s partners fell to nearly £665m in the year to 30 April, down from more than £725m the previous year, a fall of over 8%.
