Fund managers optimistic on property investment

Property fund managers remain optimistic about investment in their asset class, according to a survey from Baring, Houston, & Saunders, the integrated property asset manager.

The firm said that property weightings in portfolios have increased by default, due to the significant fall in equity prices last year. Of the respondents, 80% said that their property weighting had increased, while 37% of respondents expected an allocation of new money into property.
