GAM faces a second shareholder rebellion over how much it pays senior staff following concerns from an influential advisory group about the amount awarded to a former Man Group executive who joined the Swiss asset manager last year.

Institutional Shareholder Services, which advises more than 1,900 large investors, is recommending shareholders in GAM vote against a non-binding remuneration report at the asset manager's annual general meeting on April 26.
