Global Asset Management (GAM), the active asset manager owned by UBS, is to launch a specialist European hedge fund in response to growing opportunities within the European markets.

The GAM Euro Select fund aims to achieve capital appreciation through investing in small and mid-cap European equities. The fund will be managed by John Bennett, head of the European team at GAM, and will seek to deliver absolute returns regardless of market conditions.
