The recent resurgence in large global initial public offerings is set to continue with two Scandinavian companies likely to launch $1bn-plus flotations in the next 10 days.

As the window for launching and completing an initial public offering before the Christmas break narrows, Gjensidige Forsikring, a Norwegian insurer, and TDC, a Danish telecoms operator, are both set to launch flotations by mid-November, according to senior bankers.
