Glasz elected chairman of Fortis board of directors

Jaap Glasz has been elected co-chairman of the Fortis board of directors, succeeding Hans Bartelds, who stepped down at the beginning of February.

Glasz will co-chair the board with Maurice Lippens, who together with Bartelds founded Fortis in 1990. Glasz was previously vice-chairman of the board since 1998. His former role will be filled by Jan Slechte, himself a member of the board since 1996.
