Global markets head leaves HSBC

The head of global markets at HSBC has resigned after two years in the role, in a move that hands a third promotion in 18 months to his successor at the helm of the biggest revenue generator in the bank’s corporate, investment banking and markets unit.

HSBC said in a statement today that Mike Powell is to leave the bank to complete an MBA and pursue “private business interests”.
