Goldman Sachs has announced that 272 of its bankers have been offered managing director positions that will be effective next year, according to an internal email obtained by Dow Jones Newswires.
Chief executive Lloyd Blankfein and president Gary Cohn said in the email that those named helped the bank survive the financial crisis. They also said the new managing directors will "be integral to our service to clients, the strength of our reputation and the long-term success of the firm".
