The proportion of women in Goldman Sachs’s 2018 partner list hit a record of 26%, three percentage points higher than two years ago.
The numbers are an illustration of new chief executive David Solomon’s desire to ensure the 2018 list is more diverse, and go hand in hand with other efforts to improve the bank’s public image, such as the launch of its high-street offering, Marcus. The partner class also included the highest percentage of black partners ever, at 6%, the bank said.
