Greenhill & Co is back in a bullish mood and braced for a strong finish to the year as a pick-up in completed deals drove third-quarter revenues at the advisory house up by half from a year earlier, when both revenues and profits plunged.

Revenues rose 51% to $76.6 million during the three months to September 30 from $50.6 million a year earlier, the US firm said in its results statement on October 24.
