Guest comment: Banks need to be cautious of bonus clawback

As we enter a new decade, bankers' bonuses remain contentious with escalated public scrutiny following government bailouts.

This public anger, and continuing economic pressure on financial institutions, may result in companies withholding payment of employee bonuses. Companies should however be cautious of doing so as, despite mounting public anger, employees appear to be increasingly willing to fight for their bonuses in the courts.
