Hedge fund WorldQuant stages global competition to find next generation of quants

The firm has picked 12 teams to compete in the International Quant Championship finals, which will be held in Singapore next month

Hedge fund WorldQuant is hosting the finals of its International Quant Championship next month, a competition which is designed to help it identify up-and-coming talent.

The finals will see a dozen teams from global universities competing to determine which can develop the best mathematical models to predict future price movements of various financial instruments.
