The Diversity Project Charity, the initiative set up by City grandee Dame Helena Morrissey in the wake of last year’s Presidents Club scandal, plans to ditch “old-fashioned” corporate dinners as its main method of raising funds.
The charity was established a year ago to raise money for causes that were forced to forego donations raised by the annual Presidents Club dinner — a notorious all-male event attended in January 2018 by 360 wealthy businessmen from the worlds of finance, media, politics and the arts. Bankers from Barclays and Goldman Sachs were also in attendance.
