Henderson Private Capital returns to Germany

Henderson Private Capital, the €1bn private equity arm of asset manager Henderson Global Investors, has made its first investment for two years in Germany.

It has backed a secondary buy-out of Homann Feinkost, the German chilled and convenience food packaging company, for €140m ($182.7m), according to an industry source. Henderson fought off bids from private equity rivals EQT, Quadriga and 3i.
