Hermes Lens Asset Management, owned by the £50bn BT pension scheme, is to launch a European focus fund next year to promote corporate governance.

Hermes Lens is a leader in corporate governance issues in the UK and wishes to widen its reach, said Peter Butler, chief executive, speaking at the FT European pensions conference in Brussels.
