Four and a half years after the Covid-19 pandemic began, a fierce debate over remote working in the City continues to rage, thrust into the spotlight once again by recent riots in the UK.

Executives are increasingly frustrated with a reluctance to return to the office, as many staff, particularly those in the junior ranks, resist reverting back to a full commuting schedule, sector veterans tell Financial News.
