HSBC said that it has begun hunting for a successor to current chairman Douglas Flint.

The bank, Europe's biggest by assets, said on March 18 that Flint's replacement should be named in 2017. The incoming chairman will then look to find a new chief executive for the bank, which is headed by Stuart Gulliver, according to a letter to shareholders.
