The head of Citigroup's Ukrainian business has said that he is "safe", as the US bank continues to operate in the country amid the ongoing invasion by Russian forces.

Alexander McWhorter, Citi's chief country officer for Ukraine and a 20-year veteran of the bank, said in a LinkedIn post on 26 February that the bank was continuing to provide whatever support it can in the country.
