Icap, the world's largest interdealer broker, has ended a 12-month search for a new chief operating officer by promoting one of its senior US executives to the role.

Ken Pigaga, currently the broker's chief operating officer for the Americas, will become Icap 's group COO with immediate effect, according to a statement today.
