Index hopefuls make equity leap for womankind

Equileap, a women's workplace equality group set up by a former ABN Amro private banker, has launched a series of investable indices that reward companies making strides toward proper gender balance.

The organisation has teamed up with Solactive, a German index provider, to crunch numbers and build the indices. They will be used as the basis for investment products such as exchange-traded funds, Solactive and Equileap said in a statement today, April 11.
