ING Group to cut 1,000 jobs

ING Group is to lay off another 1,000 staff in its international wholesale banking arm after posting a 29% drop in net profits from its banking operations.

The Dutch company saw its net profit from banking fall to €850m ($853m) in the first nine months of the year. It said redundancies would be focused on underperforming branches and businesses.
