Insurers boost outsourcing to investment managers

Insurance companies are increasingly outsourcing the management of account assets to external investment managers, a trend which is expected to develop rapidly in the next few years

A report from the US-based strategic consulting firm Edgar, Davis & Holmes, said the average percent of assets outsourced increased significantly between 2002 and 2006, from 56% to 68%.
