Investcorp has appointed Stephan Kessel as an advisory director with a view to boosting the firm's presence in the German private equity market.

The global investment group also hopes Kessel will make a significant contribution to achieving the business plans of Investcorp's portfolio companies. Kessel is a former chief executive of Continental, the Stuttgart-based car systems maker, and has broad experience in corporate investment.
