Investors expect ‘transparent’ financial statements regardless of Covid-19

If the information is provided to investors, then they can help get the UK's economy back to health, the Financial Reporting Council said

Investors want companies to publish their financial statements in a “clear and timely” way, despite being fully aware of the disruptive impact of the coronavirus outbreak on auditing.

The Financial Reporting Council said on 15 June that “transparent and timely information” is a priority for investors as this helps them allocate funds to companies that are “looking to the market for support” during Britain's looming recession.
