The €21bn ($29bn) Irish National Pensions Reserve Fund has appointed a division of Hermes Pensions Management to represent the fund's corporate governance interests across its €16bn global equity portfolio.

Hermes will engage with companies on environmental, social and governance issues, and vote at shareholder meetings on the reserve fund's behalf, through its Equity Ownership Services division.
