Italy needs facts and figures to get out of this mess

Investors and EU politicians are wrong to cast the country in such a negative light without considering a bit more detail behind the numbers

The never-ending post-electoral saga in Italy has once again opened up a season of market turmoil.

Volatility might be useful for some markets and investors but we cannot pretend it does not have implications for various stakeholders, which ultimately affects all Europeans. After all, Italy is the world’s seventh largest economy, with the power to create ripples across the world.
