Former JPMorgan banker Francis Jackson was initially surprised when he was asked to take over Ascot Lloyd last year. The 60-year-old has decades of experience working at some of the biggest financial institutions in the world, but very little of it was in wealth management. 

Jackson, a keen runner who can still clock a 48‑minute 10km and lifts weights three times a week, has joined with a fresh eye on what needs to change, according to conversations with Ascot Lloyd insiders.
