Jefferies has named dozens of new managing directors, as investment banks continue to promote staff to the upper ranks in their annual promotion rounds before Christmas.

The US investment bank has unveiled its new class of MDs for 2020, people familiar with the matter told Financial News, including 13 people in its advisory unit that has broken into the top 10 for investment banking fees globally this year amid a surge in capital markets and M&A activity.
