Jefferies has brought in three investment bankers from HSBC, including one of its top City dealmakers, in what continues to be a busy year of hiring for the US bank.
Philip Noblet, the former co-head of global banking for the UK at HSBC, is joining Jefferies to lead its investment banking business in the country, according to a person familiar with the move. Noblet was recently moved into a vice chairman position at HSBC as part of a broader shake-up of its investment bank.
