Jefferies appoints M&A head in the US

Specialist technology banker leaves Citigroup to join its smaller New York rival, which is enjoying impressive growth in advisory

Jefferies has hired a senior technology banker from Citigroup as head of mergers and acquisitions in the US, as the firm continues to build on the success of an advisory business that has more than doubled its revenues this year.

Jefferies has brought in Michael Tedesco as head of US M&A and global head of its technology advisory business, according to sources close to the situation. He leaves Citigroup, where he was global head of technology M&A.
