JP Morgan's former head of equity research, who was understood to be looking for a new role after his division was reshuffled three weeks ago, is to head the group's corporate bank in Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The division is being rapidly built out, with more than 50 bankers hired to the unit over the past year.
Jose Linares, who previously headed equity and equity derivatives research in Emea and Asia-Pacific, who has been named to the corporate banking role, will have responsibility for growing the business in partnership with investment banking, credit, product sales teams and senior country officers.
