JP Morgan has appointed Larry Slaughter as the new head of its financial sponsor group in Europe following the relocation of John Coyle, his predecessor, who has become head of private equity coverage in New York.

Slaughter was previously co-head of European mergers and acquisitions at JP Morgan, which he joined in 1987.
