Simon Price, co-head of equity research for UK and Irish banks at JP Morgan, has been named sole head of the group following the departure of his co-head to a hedge fund.

Stephen Kirk, fellow co-head, resigned from JP Morgan to join Lansdowne Partners, a hedge fund with over $4bn (€3bn) in assets under management.
