Charlie Jacobs, the senior partner of Magic Circle law firm Linklaters, is joining JPMorgan as co-head of UK investment banking, the bank announced internally.

Jacobs said he was leaving Linklaters last month, bringing down the curtain on a stellar legal career during which he was one of the City’s leading M&A lawyers before serving a term as the firm’s senior partner.
