Kroes to hand banks new hope for Suez deal

Thirteen investment banks are today set for a boost to their ambitions of seeing through a merger between Gaz de France and Suez with the European Commission reportedly set to give the green light to the deal without demanding further concessions.

JP Morgan, Rothschild, BNP Paribas, HSBC, Morgan Stanley, Calyon and UBS are advising Suez.
