Linklaters profits jump 12% as Magic Circle continues bumper lockdown

City's legal titans continue to beat a path upwards on deal boom and cost reductions

Linklaters has seen its profits jump 12% as the Magic Circle set of top City law firms continues to report strong financial results through the pandemic.

While fee income was up just 2% compared with the 2020 financial year, rising to £1.6bn, cost reductions brought on by the crisis helped drive pre-tax profits to £815m, a gain of 12%.
