In a rare example of industry collaboration, asset managers and distributors have been quietly working behind the scenes to alleviate one of the biggest data management headaches posed under Mifid II.

Once the revised Markets in Financial Instruments Directive comes into force from January 2018, asset managers across Europe will need to be able to demonstrate to regulators that products are not being marketed to investors for whom they are not suited.
