UK stock trading volumes on the London Stock Exchange jumped to their highest level for three years during 2014, marking a return to form for the group’s traditional capital markets businesses.

Trading volumes on the LSE's secondary markets grew by 14% to £1.16 trillion in 2014 compared with the previous year, according to figures released by the UK exchange group yesterday.
