LVMH, the French luxury goods company, has recruited Jean-Jacques Guiony, a Paris-based partner at Lazard Frères, as its deputy chief financial officer.
Guiony was one of Lazard's rising stars in Paris and was made a general partner last year. He will join LVMH as deputy CFO on September 15 before succeeding Patrick Houel as CFO in the middle of 2004. Houel will become adviser to Bernard Arnault, LVMH's billionaire chairman and chief executive.
