Man Group orders London-based quants to return to the office five days a week

The firm’s AHL Alpha Programme has lost 10% year-to-date

The world’s largest publicly listed hedge fund Man Group has temporarily ordered its London-based quantitative experts to work from the office five days a week after a dip in performance.

The systematic arm of the hedge fund, Man AHL has told dozens of its London-based staff to come back to the office. Man Group’s AHL Alpha Programme is down by 10% this year so far, according to the Financial Times.
