The UK government should withdraw its notification to leave the European trading bloc if British politicians reject the prime minister’s preferred form of Brexit, the mayor of London will say today.

Sadiq Khan, who will address business leaders in Dublin today, said in a statement ahead of his appearance that Theresa May should revoke the Article 50 exit clause if she loses a parliamentary vote on December 11 on a Brexit deal agreed with her European counterparts last month.
