With 20 years experience at Goldman Sachs, it would be strange to describe Kunal Shah’s promotion to co-chief executive of its international business as a rapid rise. 

But Shah’s appointment, alongside Anthony Gutman, to succeed Richard Gnodde as chief executive of Goldman Sachs International shows how far the highly regarded trader has come during his time at the bank in a relatively short space of time.
