Wit Capital Europe has appointed Edward Annunziato, Merrill Lynch's co-head of investment banking, as its new chief executive.

Annunziato assumes overall responsibility for development and will focus on building a team of investment bankers and research analysts. During his tenure at Merrill he was co-head of of investment banking for Europe, Middle East and Africa.
