Myners proposes Brussels-based minister

The former City minister suggests former investment banker Lord Sassoon would be the man to represent British interests within the heart of the EU

Lord Myners, former minister for financial services under the Labour government of Gordon Brown, has suggested that the UK should move one of its ministers from London to Brussels, to signal Britain's intent to work with its colleagues in the EU.

He recommended former investment banker Lord Sassoon, an ex-vice chairman at UBS, as the ideal man to represent British interests within the heart of the EU.
