Nasdaq scores second victory with dual quote move in Boston

Nasdaq has started consolidation among the regional US exchanges by snapping up the Boston Stock Exchange in a move to regain market share in listed US equities which it has been losing to other trading venues.

The deal is the second victory for Nasdaq in two weeks following its agreement to take control of Nordic exchange operator OMX via a complex agreement with Borse Dubai. That deal will give Nasdaq its first foothold in Europe.
