The Royal Navy has enjoyed sobriety for the past 40 years. But since Black Tot Day in 1970, which saw an end to the daily ration of a ‘tot’ of rum for all sailors, the Navy’s remaining casks have been sitting silently in ceramic flagons in secret bonded warehouses. Until now, that is. From the end of July, the rest of the Royal Navy rum will be available to buy.
Bottled as Black Tot, Last Consignment, this complex spirit comes beautifully presented in a walnut box, complete with a copper tot cup.
