New EU executive remains pro-business

Jose Manuel Durao Barroso, the incoming European Commission president, has preserved his pro-business stance among the executive team, reshuffled because his first line-up was in danger of being voted down.

Business lobbyists feared Barroso would succumb to political pressures to make changes in the sensitive competition and internal market portfolios.
